An undergraduate older than his age suggests, James is primarily a poet and a non-fiction writer, although he is also an imaginative storyteller as well as a playwright. His years on this planet have been filled with travel and tragedy, irrationality and introspection, and more visits to hospital than a medical school student. James' scholarly training is in Sociology and English, and much of his writing reflects the attitutes of the post-(post?)-modern societal observer. And yes, he is aware that he writes about himself in the third person.
James has a bit of a problem with authority, rules, and other means of social control. A black sheep in his own family for bucking the traditional religious and carreer paths of his ancestors, James has never needed an excuse to voice his opinions or, if need be, confront the powers of ignorance, majority, and history--all of which are more powerful and restrictive than a moment's consideration reveals.
His ultimate goal is to change the world. He believes driven writers contain within them the ability to be the most influential beings on the planet. James hopes to reach as many people as possible through his words so that he might free his readers from the bonds placed upon on them by the world they have been born into as well as those they place upon themselves.
