I've lived in Florida most of my life except for a 6.5 year stint in England. I started writing when I was about eight years old and have been doing it ever since, although there have been times I've written more than others and sometimes not at all. I try to always carry pen and paper with me because you never know when that brilliant idea or poetic line will strike.
I enjoy writing poetry and have a million ideas running through my head for short stories at any given time. I have had the odd poem published, but nothing extraordinary in my eyes. I am highly critical of my own writing, but I think most writers are that way. I always believe I can do better so I tend to push myself when it comes to my own writing.
I like to experiment with different poetry forms. Sometimes I don't even mean to rhyme my poetry. It just happens. Other times, I don't want to rhyme. For the most part, I want to be a descriptive writer, yet write simply enough to be straight to the point.
