Ciao! Like many people, I live a bifurcate life: There's the vocation (freelance web applications developer and PHP instructor) and then there are the avocations: writing, beading, clay, classical music (especially Baroque), reading (literary mystery, SF and poetry). I'm currently seeking a used TARDIS in which I can do all of these things and still have time for sleep.
Rounding out my day-to-day are my husband (whose facility for puns and les bons mots is enviable but who has not one whit of interest in writing) and two cats. The cats have no interest in writing, either, though they will happily spread themselves over paper and pen or keyboard while I attempt it.
I was born and reared in the southern USA, and its influence pervades much of what I write, even when I'm writing speculative fiction. Although I write the occasional science fiction, most of my fiction is contemporary fantasy or magic realism. So far, my published work has been limited to non-fiction and poetry.
