I was born in West Virginia, a very beautiful state. Since then I've lived in Cleveland, Ohio and in Macon, Georgia but am now back home and loving it. Being back to my roots has helped push me to get my poetry published. I've been writing poetry since I was very young with poems such as:
I am me
I'm not a bee
I never cry
and I always try
...etc, etc..can't remember the rest.
that was fourth grade. I actually had a collection that I put together for a school project and had a home-made binding and all. It won some sort of award.
I went for years without writing until I came across Jim Morrison as a teenager and stuff like:
"Born alive to live life dying"
started coming out of me. I was encouraged by my english teachers, especially Maura Kistler. And have been writing, although sporadically, ever since.
