Hello everyone! Firstly Id just like to thank you for taking the time to read my profile and my writing if you happen to do so. With writing comes the need for readers and I am very appreciative of anybody who happens to read my work.
I write to feel free and believe I can learn about myself from the content of what I write. In my opinion the gift of creativity is what makes us human and is the greatest gift one person could ever have. With creativity comes infinite power, and this power is everyones to wield.
I started writing at an early age when i realised that i enjoyed poetry and enjoy the thought of people taking something positive away from something Id written. My main influences of my work at the moment is religion, loved ones, family etc. I decided to use my own feelings and experiences in my early work as the imagery is heart-felt and already there for me to tap into. My religous input is mainly from that of Islam as I find it interesting and enjoyed studying it for some time. I find if I try and write about Christianity I find myself not being able to take it seriously as I only understand it from a Western point of view, and to me doesnt feel whole somehow. So rather than write poems or writings that deface a religion I decided to search deeper, from its origins and Arab birth places.
I have ambitions in life, and one of those ambitions is to try and improve the world around me.
I figured if i became a writer then one day people may take notice of my voice and listen to what i have to say. I hope to make a difference, any difference to someones life would make me happy, be it an individual or a group of people.
I just want to let people into my mind.
I hope to hear from you all.

Well that was then, this is now. That = about 2 years ago and how times change. How I've changed! Its been a roller coaster ride and everything about me above seems like a bit of a dream to me now when it was once a burning ambition.
Lets try and get that ambition back shall we.
"'Keep it together now! Your down on points so you'll have to start looking for the knockout if you want to win this! Just look for that gap, your messing about out there! Pull yourself together!' they urged. But I didn't care, I hardly even heard them. I knew what I had to do. The bell rang out for my final round but I heard an Angel sing a melodic chorus that soothed my aching soul. Someone in my corner pushed me forwards. I just closed my eyes and listened to the sounds of the night and breathed in the smells of the warm summer breeze. I pictured my life as a blank canvas once again and saw that with words I could take myself anywhere I pleased. I didn't need the money, or the fame. As the last blow lifted me into the heavens I floated away only to crash down onto the ground once again. The lights were a haze and blood trickled into my eyes. The crowd roared with applause. The victor took his place and the onslaught was over. For once I felt what true pride felt like, and it felt good.
The light filtered into my mind and I simply smiled, this is where I wanted to be, leave me be, leave me be."
Taken from 'The Final Round' by myself, I'd forgotten what inspired this. Its good to be back.
The lovely girl in my picture is Tamsin, she doesnt really know it but she is the source of my inspiration right now and I love her deeply.
