Mad Ups magazine interviewed Timothy on January 11, 2007.
Mad Ups: Why do you write Tim?
T.B: To entertain. Period.
Mad Ups: Would you elaborate please?
T.B: Too entertain myself first. I write what I crave to read. I write stuff that makes me giddy. It has to thrill me. I set grenades off in playgrounds, I throw people
out of airplanes and follow their thoughts till they hit the ground. And--
Mad UPs: Jesus.
T.B: If I loooove it, others will want to read it too.
Mad UPs: Well, we loved Red Sermon. That story is out of control. Totally sick.
T.B: Thanks.
Mad UPs: Technically, what do you aim for in your writing?
T.B: Moveing Pictures. I fire clouds of bees and storms of armed torpedoes in the readers face. My constant goal is to deliver streams of, relentless, vivid, sentences that compel the reader forward as if hypnotized. I try to stop readers from breathing.
Mad Ups: I felt that during a few sentences of SERMON..
T.B: I hope so. Thank you.
