My name is Grailan Kato Ceaser jr. I was born May 17, 1988 in Baltimore Maryland. I attended school at New town High located in Owings Mills Maryland. My favorite subject was English, I love reading and writing. When I read I like to try to connect with the writers words and really analize the passage to get a complete understanding. As a hobbie of mine I've illustrated many short story and poetry. I've recently starting writing stories, however i've been writing poetry for years. I find writing to be a great way to express myself. I believe I get my writing abilities from my father. My father is an author and a minister, althought I dont live with him I learn alot from him. I live with My mother Angela Ceaser, and my older sister Denae Ceaser. We are a very compationate family, and I wouldnt trade them for the world.
I am a very hardworking goal oriented person. I have many goals for myself ,and I strive to fullfill all of them. However, two important goals I have for myself are diffiicult, yet rewarding. The first goal I have is to attend college in the feild of Psychology, to eventually become a Doctoral level trained psychologists and also become a experts in the provision/administration. I believe your college has an exellclent Psychology program, and If accepted I will do what ever it takes to fullfill my dream.
My second goal is to have a beautiful family. 7 Years old ago, on my Birthday May 17, 2001 my mother and father seperated and got a divorce. As a young child this is common in the 21th century, but it affected me a great deal. Once I have Graduated from college and established with a good job, and comforable with my responsibilies I will start a family of my own, with great expectations.
I Plan on reaching these goals in no time. Although, a lot of hard work will be put forth, I believe I will reach them. Some efforts I have made to accomblish these goals are simple. I created what I call "The Time line To succes". "The Timeline To Sucess" Is a timeline chart I have on my wall in my bedroom. Every morning I place a check mark on the chart. The check indicates another day that I performed some kind of task of getting closer to my 2 year goal. As the chart progresses it gets closer to my 4 year goal, and so forth and so on, untill I reach all of my goals. So far I have reached a few of them. I had to sacrifice a lot to reach them, and I know I have to sacrifice more to achieve further on the chart.
I take life very seriously. I believe if you are going to do somthing, to be the best at it. I've won awards throughout my life. My most memorible achievement is my Foxridge community service award. every year me and my group goes to communities and clean up the trash, and plant flowers. The community has a annual picnic celebration. So ever year I involved myself in the special event by organizing entertainment, and assembling cleaning crews. At this event there is a basketball tournement. In the summer of 2006, I put together a team for the competition, and won. My team and I worked really hard. Eventhough, there wasnt a prize we still had fun, and earned bragging rights for the year. Also I ' am very involved with my church. As a member of the church's young adult committe, my role is to organize services, family reunions, picnics, and other social events. I believe I play a big part in the growth of our church and its very rewarding opportunity.
I belive education is the most important neccesity in society. Aristotle said "The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet." He was basically saying although learning takes hard work and extreme disipline, the reward of knowledge is greater, It takes paitients and dedication. I pocess all the attributes of become a successful college student. I believe universities are looking for a hard working goal oriented indivual. I have the determination to succeed, and the decipline to achieve.
