Chaz Matthews was born in 1970 in the wilds of Western Michigan. He grew up with comic books, horror flicks and rock and roll, developing a taste in his teen years for punk rock and metal. After a move to Boston in 1992 he formed the DIMESTORE HALOES, a punk rock group that would go on to inspire a worldwide cult following. The Haloes recorded several CDs and singles for independant labels while touring the East Coast during the years 1995-2003. When the Haloes broke up, Chaz began a solo career and now records for Full Breach Kicks Records, based in Chicago. "Lost In The Supermarket" is Chaz's first book (published through Lulu Press), although he has written in the past for such underground periodicals as Hit List, Maximum Rocknroll, NowWave Online and Rockabilly Monthly. He resides in Boston where he plans another book for release in 2007, as well as musical releaes on Full breach Kicks, Incessant Drip and Pelado Records.
