I, DaVonne Rochelle Armstrong, was born in brooklyn,ny, nyc on march 30, 1987. i lived in that city for only a year or so then was moved by my parents to philadelphia where my younger sister was born. We lived in Philadelphia, the both of us attending Catholic School, for 9 years before we moved to Williamstown, NJ, a semi-small suburban community at the time that has managed to grow to a mini metropolis. we are about 45minutes from Philadelphia and an hour from Atlantic city, but thats boring.
i started writing, some form of creative thought when i was 13 years old. it just seems right that i started around this age because thats when adolencence begins, and just like anyone else, mine was in its own way difficult. my only escape was through writing. once i graduated from Williamstown Middle School and started at the high school i found out that my writing was actually good, and according to my english teachers exceptional for a 15 year old. i joined poetry clubs and forums after recieveing this feed back and continued to nurish my talent through my high school career.
now at the age of 20 and a second year college student at Temple University, i have recieved the same imput and i am very ready and serious about becoming a professional author/poet! :-)
my writing style is much like my personality, at least that's what i have come to find out. either the reader loves it or they dont. and sometimes when they only like it, they wish i would just tone it down a tad. i dont believe in censoring my work, so everything that is raw in my mind will be raw on paper. no questioning hardly ever.
i hope everyone who love what i do continues to love what i do. and to everyone who doesnt, i hope one day you will learn to in the least appreciate it.
