Born in the West Midlands of the UK, Jsmes Burr gained a First in English Literature before gaining a Master's Degree in Anglo-American Literature at University College London. He taught English Language in Barcelona, Spain for two years before returning to the UK where he still lectures in EFL and works as an Academic Support Tutor at the University of Worcester. He has worked as a journalist for "The Guardian" and "Maxim" magazine and has had numerous short stories published in anthologies, journals and magazines. His first collection, "Ugly Stories For Beautiful People" was published to wide acclaim in the Summer of 2007.
