I love stories with a happy ending. Romantic comedies where boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl, never get old for me. I became interested in writing in the 10th grade when my English teacher had us draw verbs. Yes, you read right: she had us drawing pictures of run, walk, talk, etc. Then we had to write a paragrah about our verb. It was fun and it got my creative juices flowing. I mostly wrote poetry back then. I stumbled upon some Harlequin Romances and I've been hooked on romance novels ever since. Being African American, I couldn't relate to the blue eyed blonde characters and decided I would write a romance with characters that I could relate to. I took a few writing classes, got a mentor and sharpened my skills.
