As a writer I've been around for awhile. I've never really done anything, but on the same page, I've never really accomplished anything that could be called "nothing" either. I'm the kind of mediocre ghost that haunts the closets of the talented, moaning and screeching out at the unjust turns of life that have led me to this point.
I'm dry and humorless, weak and thoughtless. Terribly old for my age, yet terribly young for my looks. I believe myself to be a walking contradiction and a kind of repetitive palindrome,(yes you can read me frontwards and backwards, I don't mind.)
In truth, I'm a would-be writer that has accomplished nothing, but likes to think that he has. I'm an English major at a college you have never heard of, I drive a car that you would never want to drive, and I have the personality of a lump of coal.
Readers be-(a)ware! The ghost of John-Marx Deveraux haunts the halls of failed institutions everywhere. I am one, yet nothing at all.
