Kilian Betlach teaches seventh grade English to recent immigrants. On no fewer than two occasions he has gone to work with visible bruises sustained as a result of drunken brawling. This makes him a bad person, although its effects on his quality as a teacher are yet to be determined. Teaching itself is good, clean work, but this is not what he writes about.
