I often find myself lost, in my own mind. A world created by imagination, full of fairytales and magic. My mind is not a bad place to be, just a step forward or a step behind on any given day. My writing, my refuge, my utopia, my magical world of words comes together to express emotions that I cannot express in any other way. Poetry is an art form of the heart and soul, that often times serves as therapy for the traumatic events that occur in life or as celebrations for the accomplishments. Either way here is your chance to read and understand the genealogy of an enriched soul.
At some point in our lives, maybe even many points we go searching for who we are. We aren't willing to except the simple descriptions our names or residence imply but instead we begin looking deep for something fulfilling. There are many people who give us the perception that they were born knowing who they are and why they are here. This however is only an illusion; we spend most of our lives questioning our purpose. It's an endless journey but one that we have to endure in order to lead happy lives. Cultivating awareness with sincere intentions infuses our lives with the energy of our emotional sensitivity and the generosity of spirit.
Life isn't always easy but we are each apiece of a larger puzzle. We were born, each of us individually with purpose and whether we believe we've found it or not everything we do has an impact on everything that is. Although our individual purposes of life have yet to be uncovered we find refuge in our dreams. This is my dream; to share my world and my images through words. I write for the mere joy of creation. I write for the wonderful feeling of accomplishment during times when it seems humanity has forgotten me. I write to convey feelings of worth to myself and to encourage others I've chosen to share these words with. Writing is my life; maybe not my purpose but a dream I'm not willing to allow the ego to take from me. It's my way of getting away from the reality of life or a way to think out-loud in order to understand life.
