I write because there is no other way to keep that last shred of sanity that I posess otherwise. I used to write only for myself; the words would come in a rush of thought that spewed itself onto a number of blank pages in a notebook or a journal, the back of a placemat or at the very least, on my own hand. Then one day, someone I looked up to said, "If you are not writing for the world to see it, there is no point in writing at all." Those words scared me a bit. I questioned why, I still question why, but those words, for me, changed everything.
