Aesthetica is calling for submissions on a rolling basis.
Aesthetica is a cultural arts magazine that combines high quality arts features, news, reviews, and interviews alongside new and emerging writers, artists, musicians and filmmakers.
Aesthetica receives a very high volume of submissions each issue and only has space for very few numbers. For this reason, we ask that you read a copy of Aesthetica Magazine before submitting to get a clear idea of the type of work we publish.

How long do I have to wait?
Aesthetica publishes four times a year. Even though submissions are collected all year round, the editors will make their selections only four times a year. This means that your submission will be kept on file for up to one year.
We accept submissions in the following forms:
* Articles: between 500 and 1000 words
* Short stories: between 300 and 2000 words
* Scripts: 1-3 pages
* Poems: 1-5 pieces (attach all poems to one email)
* Artwork: 1-8 pieces (JPG, TIFF or PDF formats at least 300dpi)
* photography, 1-8 pieces (JPG, TIFF or PDF formats at least 300dpi)
* Independent films, DVD and press release
How to send submissions to us:
Please note we only accept electronic written and art submissions. Email your submission to submissions@aestheticamagazine.com. Your written submission should be sent to us as an attachment in Microsoft Word. Please send artwork and photography as JPG, PDF or TIFF format. If you are sending more than one written submission, please attach all of them to one email. Be sure to write your full name in the subject line of the email with the title of your piece, and the genre. We would also like to know where you are from. Film submissions should be on DVD and sent with a press release to our postal address.
Please do not...
* Send us simultaneous submissions. We like all our content to be contemporary and original.
* Send written work to our postal address. We simply do not have the resources available to retype your work.
* Send your submission in the body of the email. Email will reformat spacing and characters in your work.
* Send us a link to your work. Please select the exact items you wish to submit.
* Submit more than once per issue. This does not increase your chances of getting published. In fact, it may decrease them.
* Write 'Aesthetica Submission' in the subject line. We need you to be more specific than that.
* Expect to be published because you have submitted. We maintain our right to be selective.
Further notes
* It is essential that opinion pieces - articles etc. - consist of a well-formulated and well-researched argument. The topic of the piece is entirely up to the writer - we consider opinion pieces in an entirely objective manner.
* Aesthetica is unable to pay contributors for submissions, however a complimentary copy of the magazine will be provided.
