The place for writers:
Upload your writing in minutes, receive peer feedback from other writers, poets, authors, then get your work published out there in the real world.       Learn how other writers are doing it.

Payment for your work will be in copies, not cash. This means you will recieve three copies of the review as payment in exchange for First North American serial rights, all copyright will be retained by the authors. Previously published work, underground or not, will not be considered. If you have a piece that is accepted in some other publication please let us know. Violators will be shot.

All submissions should be double spaced and attached as DOC, RTF, PDF, or TXT format and the subject header should read according to the entry(i.e. ??subject: Fiction Submission,? ??subject: Essay Submission,? etc.) Do not use any strange fonts. If you have Oklahoma ties be sure to put this in your email and be sure to include how you are tied and perhaps where you are tied. If you have no Oklahoma ties you might mention this as well, or not even bother submitting. We will only publish one or two outside pieces if any.

Submission for Fiction, Creative Non, Essays, Reviews should be sent to:

Fiction

We are not taking science fiction, fantasy, or penthouse letters, or mysteries or STORIES ABOUT SCAT. Unless of course all of these stories are written in the snootiest literary sense and are merely a theme for something else. Primarily we are interested in submissions that are written with heart and the author would defend to the ends of the earth. They must be between 800 and 7000 words.

Examples of the type of fiction we would accept can be found in the annual New Stories from the South, The Paris Review, McSweeney??s Quarterly, Playboy, The New Yorker, but with a bit more of a redneck drawl, but not necessarily so.

Creative Nonfiction

Same guidelines as fiction but for people who are more courageous in reclassifying their fiction.

Essays

Keep in mind the theme. If it is a helluva essay then we??ll take it. If it is too much of a rant then we still might take it. How much room do we have for essays? Not much, but what the hey.

Poetry

Originally we were not going to take any poetry, because of the fear we had of how many submissions we would receive. And because the Big Chief, who is not really big and not really a chief, is not too fond of reading poetry. But he is big about delegating responsibility almost as much opening his mind. So the team is accepting poetry. Please do not send more than 5 pieces of poetry.

All poetry should be sent to:
