Maxwell Mutami is a young Zimbabwean writer aged 32, currently based in Harare. Some of his poems were published in three anthologies by International Library of Poetry namely, Awakening To The Dream, Quite Moments, Shattered Pillars and The Best Poets of 2000. Other poems were selected for publication by the South African Institute of Poetry. On the internet some of his work was published on, www.poetry.com, www.writersagainstwar.com , www.gowanusbooks.com and www.voicesnet.com . Locally short stories and poems were published in Moto magazine, Ngoma Yekwedu a collection of Shona poetry, as well as in Tsotso, which is a magazine of new writing in Zimbabwe. His collection of poetry entitled When The Dust Settles was published in August 2006 and currently available on several online bookstores. A full time banker, Maxwell is currently studying English Literature at a local university and has plans of going into full time creative and freelance writing. An avid reader who has a strong passion for language, the young writer believes in making his pen talk to the world.
