I am a poet, first and foremost, producing more in this mode than any other, but I also like to dabble in various forms of fiction and non-fiction. How's that for broad and sweeping?
As a whole, my work reflects the edges of invisibility: all those issues we tend to push off to the corners of our minds so we can live life without having to think too much about what the inherent problems are with our culture, our ecomony, our social heirarchies, our own minds, and so on.
My focus returns again and again to issues of race, class, & gender - in any order - because they are all intertwined and cannot really be viewed as components without missing the issue.
I am also the Assistant Editor for the literary magazine: Haz Mat Review and run a small publishing house called Serendipity Press.
To give you a complete picture, even though it's not always relevant to my writing, I am also an artist and photographer - working mainly with digital arts, but also dabbling in painting and sculpting.
So, there is a small tour of the whirlwind that is my mind - leading you through the most prominant (and continually obsessive) aspects of my nature.
