My love of story telling and poetry writing began when I was nine and my younger sister and I shared a bedroom. At night she loved hearing me tell her stories before she drifted off to sleep, and one evening I decided to write a poem just for her. The title of that peom was "Sleep Well," and perhaps I wrote it because it just flowed from my thoughts, or, more likely, maybe I wrote it because I just wanted her to go to sleep! I don't think I could ever be sure which it was, but it sparked in me a love of poetry that continues to this day.
