Mike Robinson grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains of Northwestern Pennsylvania. Fresh out of high school, he had a desire to experience the world so he enlisted in the U.S.A.F. Ten years later, after seeing nearly all of Europe, he left the military and returned home to his family. Settling in New Kensington, which sits along the Allegheny River roughly 15 miles north of Pittsburgh, Mike returned to college.
Graduating from Penn State in 1992, he began his career in Electrical Engineering. Mike still works as a Senior Electrical Engineer for a firm in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. However, his true passion is writing. Mike began writing in 1985, when he started the novel “The Medallion”. This tale sits unfinished as he shifted in 1988 to the first installment of this series “Realm of Shadow.” Both are epic tales of dark fantasy.
Mike’s work is not limited to fantasy; he loves horror, supernatural thrillers, and sci-fi. His true love is within the realms of horror and the supernatural. His mind is a scary place to traverse, even for him, and he tries to keep a handle on it. However, he allows his dark visions free reign when it comes to storytelling and of course Halloween decorating.
Mike has the tale “Spooky Hollow” published in “Tabloid Purpose IV”, and the World War II Zombie tale: "The Cathedral" is published in JSP's Deliver Us From Evil Horror Anthology. He is currently working on expanding his macabre short story collection and continuing on his novels.
He currently lives in New Kensington PA with his wife Tammy, three children Elora (18), Shaylon (17), and Sebastian (10), and their Husky Luna (3).
Mike is also currently the Vice President and editor of Jaded Silence Press.
