February 13 1911,
Feel like a piece of drawn threadwork, or an undeveloped negative, or a jelly fish on stilts, or a sloppy tadpole, or a weevil in a nut, or a spitchcocked eel. In other words and in short - ill.
(The Journal of a Disappointed Man, W.N.P Barbellion, 1919)
Words and the way people string them together in ways that mean nothing to one person but so much to another, is one of the most beautiful things in life.
Although when I put them together, it seems more like the creation of a painted macaroni necklace only a mother could love, rather than a shiney thing that can be given in confidence.
Any feedback would mean a lot to me.
