My parents had a small publishing and editorial service as I was growing up, and my father is an author so I guess that's what first perked my interest. I try to write anything from lyrics to short stories to poems and onto my recent favorite -- The Great American Novel. One of these days I'll get into Journalism (hello, college). I've participated in NaNoWriMo twice, in 2004 and 2006, both times exceeding the word goal of 50,000 words to be written within the alotted 30 days. NaNo is what spawned my novel, and as of this moment it is still a work in progress...
