I'm Shanna, known by most as Shan, and I'm twenty-six years old. I have a physical challenge known as Cerebral Palsy, but I'm just as "normal" as anyone else. Basically, I am just a small town Cajun gal with big dreams and an even bigger heart. My passions range from the simple to the unusual. I have always been intrigued by words--spoken, as well as written. But for whatever reason, I have never tried publishing my own. I'm aspiring to change that. I also love my fiancé Nick, my family, friends, and all the people who've left imprints on my heart. I can be extremely serious, wildly silly and everything in between. I am easy to get along with, very open minded, ridiculously easily amused, and funloving. I also tend to become nostalgic and random. Sincerity and a positive attitude go a long way with me. I believe that NOTHING is impossible. And just because things may SEEM hopeless doesn't mean that they truly ARE. I believe in second chances, true love, equality, and personal freedom. Although I tend to shy away from heated political debates, I FULLY support our troops as I have many family members and friends who have and/or are currently giving selflessly for MY freedom. I am opinionated, but refuse to push my beliefs on anyone else. I admire anyone bold enough to be him/herself, regardless of others' opinions and perceptions. In short, I am a poetic dreamer with a passion for life and a colorful history from which I constantly strive to paint my future-- one uniquely beautiful stroke at a time.
