I am currently reviewing the balance of work in my writing. It mostly splits two ways between the 'serious' work I'm engaged in and the fictional 'creative stuff'.
ATM I have several projects I'm engaged on, e.g.
Book on Conflict Mediation at Work, near completion.
Backburner projects 'Managing Stress with Success' and another more academic text on 'Seeing the Wood for the Trees; Adventures with Repertory Grid'
Also working on transposing the last 7 years of my personal journals into a book or books, a Magnum Opus, basically on finding the keys to personal happiness.
The creative work is a personal distraction. A hobby. I enjoy experimenting with words and ideas. I write short stories, prose and poems and songs. No particular genre. It includes erotica, mystery, fantasia, real-life, dark stuff, and more traditional things like nature, inspirational. I don’t have a particular style, I’m still experiencing.
I do genuinely like to read the work of other people on here, as it keeps me on my toes. As time allows I make comments as appropriate, if I feel I have something helpful to say. Sometimes I do this either publicaly and/or through PM. I don’t usually have much useful to say about lit crit, more often its about personal reaction.
Thanks to my Readers, and for the positive and constructive comments made.
