My name is Teralee E. M. Bird, Terri for short. I live in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, in a small community called L'Ardoise. There with my husband Joey, we reside on a 40 acre farm that was a 'humble wreck' when we bought it. We lived and renovated at the same time, and like every type of work, it seems the renovating's never done.
Joey and I share our home with two cats, Baby and FatBoy (and he is what his name implies) and our German Shepherd, Ceilidh (pronounced 'Kay-lee').
We both motorcycle (I have an 85 750 GSXR, the 30th ever made) and he is between bikes now.
I also enjoy singing, and writing songs in addition to stories (aren't they often the same?) and have two recordings to my credit. My group 'Thistledown' toured in Europe back in 1999 and you'll even find some of our CDs kicking around on Amazon ('Road Less Travelled' is the title).
The farm will have a barn again eventually (the one that was here blew down 2 years ago!), and I'll get back into the horses I haven't been without since I was 18. My last two were thoroughbreds named 'Piper' and 'Niki', my second was a standardbred named 'Shea', and my first was an appaloosa who went by 'Chip'.
I enjoy jumping, dressage, hacking trails, as well as training and showing both horses and riders.
Joey is an auto mechanic (and a very good one) and I work as a Quality Analyst for an international corporation with a local centre.
