One of my first memories of having a passion for reading was when I was in the 4th to 5th grades. Back then, I was big into the Hardy Boys books. I used to go to the school library and pick out about 10 of them and then I'd come back home and stay up for hours soaked in the imaginative worlds that were created in them. It's hard for me to say if my love of mystery and imagination was born from reading those books or if it was always in me. I've found that one of my greatest gifts is my imagination.
I started writing at the age of 15(1999). It first began with song lyrics, which I did fervently up till 2006. Now, I've began writing short stories. I've always thought that it would be cool to create your own worlds and characters, but it wasn't until I first did so did I realize just how amazing it is. Without imagination, I don't think that there's be much spice of life. It's what drives us. It's what spawns tommorows inventions and it's what keeps you believing even when the odds are completely against you. In short, this is the place that I love being on the internet the most. I've had a blast reading others people's stories and sharing some of my own. To the struggling writer, continue putting the words to paper. There's always worlds in your mind to discover.
