Grew up in Port Washington, N.Y. Graduated with BA Political Science at SUNY New Paltz (1979), MA Urban Planning UIC Chicago (1983). Have lived in Chicago (1980-83), New York (1984-87), and Boston (1988-present). Worked for community non-profit and government institutions. Writing is primarily an avocation off and on over the last 20 years but moreso over the last ten years.
