I grew up in central Connecticut, going to school in an affluent town, but spending most of my time in a...um...less affluent town.
My first job out of college was as a reporter and editor for a small, weekly newspaper. I had lots of fun and a few adventures, but eventually I got sick of town meetings and asking people how they felt two hours after their home had burned down.
So, I moved to New York, got a job at a major publishing house and hope someday to be an editor. We'll see how that works out.
