I'm Timber and I'm a beginning freelance writer working on my first novel. I've always wanted to be a writer and wrote a lot when I was young, but when I was about 14 I just quit. I honestly don't remember why, but for some reason I just stopped writing completely. Last year I decided that I was going to finally give it a go and picked back up the pen. I feel like I have a lot of wasted years I need to make up for.
I recently built a new online writing community because I found so many cool writing sites that I decided I wanted one of my own. I don't think there can be too many. I just had my first magazine article published in the February issue of Antiques & Collecting Magazine, so I am pretty excited about that. It lit a fire under my butt to sell more.
I married my highschool sweetheart, and I have managed not to smother him with a pillow while he sleeps for 15 years and counting. I am the mother of a darling, precocious, eight year old writing protege. I have one sweet dog, four haughty cats, and several overgrown gardens.
I enjoy reading, painting wildlife on feathers, and embarassing my daughter with occasional headbanging tunes from the 80's.
That's basically me, your basic nut, in a nutshell.
