Born in the tiny logging town of Hoquiam, WA, we eventually ended up in a two room shack in Port Orchard where I spent most of my childhood years. I was the oldest of three children and incredibly shy. Since my sister and I fought horribly, and I didn't want to attract the attention of my parents lest I end up babysitting my little brother - again - I spent most of my time hidden away with a book or a sketchpad and pencil. I didn't know I could express myself in writing until I got a job illustrating for another would-be author. She was having trouble phrasing a couple paragraphs, and I've been writing ever since.
