Wilson Casey (born in Woodruff, SC) earned two Guinness World Records records for a thirty-four hour broadcast on radio station WKDY-1400 AM on January 10, 1999 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. One record was for the longest trivia broadcast. The other record was for the longest radio broadcast by an individual.
His weekly Bible Trivia column (King Weekly Features Service) appears in over 125 newspapers around the country, and his daily General Trivia column appears in numerous others. His trivia is read and enjoyed by millions via the TrivGuy network of newspapers carrying his multiple-choice columns.
Casey hosted the "Trivia Fun" radio program on WKDY radio (Spartanburg, SC) for 6 years in the late 1990's and early 2000's. The program was consistantly the top rated program in the Spartanburg market during the 12pm-1pm "noon hour," fielding hundreds of calls every day. Previously he was an on-air radio personality 16 years at WSPA radio (Spartanburg, SC).
Casey has appeared on the national TV game show, "The Weakest Link", and in a movie documentary as one of the world's most unique Guinness Record holders (Chump-Change Productions), and is continual national demand as a speaker and host of trivia functions, plus emcees "celebrity roasts".
The State of South Carolina General Assembly has honored Casey with a Concurrent Resolution. He is also listed as a National Figure from upstate South Carolina.
