Clutch a Star

hold your head up high
reach for the sky
you know what kid
you aint broken yet

the world can throw fireballs at you
but catch them,
twirl them and make it pretty

You know what kid
i see those tears
but release your fears
it aint time to say goodbye

All around it may seem bleak
but it isnt gotham city
you're alive, you're breathing
people may be cheating
but you've got all you need
son, you're allowed to bleed
but hold your head up high
and when you reach for the sky
pull down a star and clutch it to you
send it forward as your dream
see??
lifes not as bad as it seems

Angel Im really starting to become an avid fan of your upbeat material. A
lof of my poetry either deals with perceptions of reality or the nature of depression by bereavement. Its just so refreshing for me not to write anything and just read your beautiful work. You are a gem!

nice, there is something nice about poems that make you think a bit and don't hand you everything on a silver platter.
Nice and good work,
I like it!

Great poem. It's amazing that I would find this just now. life is really taking it's cheap shots on me lately. so to stumble upon this poem now ... it's really ironic. Thank you!
