"Why Sit Around Feeling Blue"
Smile when you're down.
Dont let yourself be ruled by a frown.
Look at the sky and see its wonder.
Go for a walk into the yonder
Happiness is yours, it's not that hard.
You've just got to want it and walk the yard.
Sing in the shower, dance in the rain.
Dont let your emotions be ruled by pain.
Whistle a tune as you walk along.
Make up your very own happy song.
Do as I do and paint like a child:
using fingers and toes is wild.
Make some cookies and fill them with love.
Sing, dance and offer praise to God above.
so much happiness awaits for you,
so come on, why you sitting round feeling blue??

May I frame this one? ^^ Something opposite to despair?! Amazing.
Thank heavens for people who still think like you. And may there get to be more of them. |

| I really liked it it's my style of writing, but I had one problem you wrote (You just have to want it and walk the yard) Maybe try you just have to want it and take a walk in the yard. That might work better. But other then that it was really good! |

| hey mirelina, yeah that's right!! hey i have poetry on another site that is heaps depressing from last year but then as i decided to change my life and got into meditation i started feeling happier and i still have shit days, but thats all they are are days and emotions, emotions are simply a feeling that will be replaced by another feeling hence saddness and depression can be replaced by happiness and joy...hmm food for thought |

| In a site filled with much poetry that is melancholy, this does since like a gem refracting light (I know, I've written some). This is beautiful, simply put. It is calling for hope even through the pain. Even if things are bad, perhaps if you keep smiling, than eventually you'll mean it. |
