A First Attempt

I'll try this and
put myself out there
for the always eager eyes
that critique like second nature

It's really just words
on a blank page
and to believe that
I'd be a boy among men

The hype breeds concern
in this nervous, needing newbie

Alliteration always answers the age-old question,
"Where's my safety-net?"

very nice. often in my life, i try new things and then there is no safety net to catch me when i fall.. it's quite unfortunate, but it kinda is the real world isn't it? good points here.

oh indeed. the trepidation of letting anyone read your work for the 1st time, wether on the other side of the world or in your living room. Very good peter

I second and third that emotion! wonderful way to convey the anxiety of letting one's work and oneself be 'out there' for the whole world to see and as you say critique. love the alliteration! my question, where's the eject button? best to you, t.
