Puppetry

You do not serve me
I do not command you
You are not my slave
I am not your master

Do not like me
I owe you nothing
You are not my friend
I am not your companion

Do not hold me
I released you long ago
You are not with me
I am not your lover

Do not return to me
I have no power over you
You are not my marionette
I am not your puppeteer

I cut you, and your strings
Broke your heart, and scattered the remnants
Amongst the crowd
Your crowd

They pull your strings now.

Particularly like when you added "your crowd" and the ending. Its bring a whole new dimension everything said before that point.

WHOA! Sounds like you seriously hurt someone. This is brutal, unsafe, but bloody brilliant! Sounds like someone clingy who drove you mad, and you finally had to cut them loose...

Blinding. I love it. That last line all on its own is so powerful.
