A Christian's Walk: Adopted Child (part3)

Shortcomings giving way to a rising hope
A genuine smile returns after so long without
The new found light showing new ways to cope
No more fear within when all lights go out

A promise of life after knowing only dark
The dark that destroyed after only three years
This once so complete, and very strong heart
A corrupted soul now wanting You near

Alive I am now, bought by Your blood
Corruption now turned into life anew
Living in the grace brought by Your love
A straying thought from all I once knew

From light to shadow, from shadow to light
We traverse along on the paths we make
The feeble attempt at what we call life
With a goal to survive without a mistake

An adopted child of the Sovereign One
The dreams of hope He within me did weave
New efforts at life today have begun
For within all lies the dream to believe

the 4th stanza really stood out for me. traversing paths, in my own experience, has been a tough journey...although i haven't completely lost it yet. the last two lines end this poem perfectly, because we have to make an effort to really believe what we have traveled so far to find. excellent all around.

Very cool, here i see in the 3rd part that a new sense of hope is arriving. The old hope that was built upon mortal things has died and is being replaced with something that will never die off.
