A Christian's Walk: Cry of Passion (part4)

Once past hopes scream out to be heard
After so much anguish his sight is blurred
A single tear snakes down his cheek
As he drops to his knees unable to breathe

He raises his head, eyes to the sky
Screaming in agony to his Lord, 'Why?'
Tear after tear from his eyes do flow
While the pain in his eyes has nowhere to go

He forces a smile, which proves to be hard
Giving up all the hurt from his now shattered heart
Mixed emotions and forgotten feelings
Rush to his soul as he stays there kneeling

Hands to the sky, all given away
Praying his Lord his soul to take
He then stands up with life anew
A future without the hurt he once knew

Well Robert, as you know, I never would have imagined myself reading this Christian Walk, but I'm glad I did. Hope passed, and was renewed, you stepped into the light and accepted the challenge. In the end, standing with pain, but desire to walk that path again, but with your head held high. We can all learn from these words. You write so well, and one day I hope you follow and achieve your goals. I think you will. :-)

This is going to sound weird, but I am Jewish and have read the whole bible (years ago). It was a thirst for knowledge that I still have, anyway, this reminds me of Job. God took away everything and he still held fast to his belief. He was rewarded in the end but it is a story I will never forget.

Nice ending.

the series started with a man basically dying off spiritually due to all their own efforts and you end with a man being rebuilt due to God's efforts.

Very good, creditable!
