forget me not

Thrust for the light
Aghast
Man stood
Trembling, weeping,
Still incoherently nursing
The chasm inside

We each harbour shadow and light within ourselves; there can be a chasm in which the shadow lingers, and an abyss where our negativisms breed, yet reverence to life's elements of light and the more astonishing things, an appreciate of the profound and wonderful etc., can go some distance as we climb from the depths to new heights.

So many people fail to find fulfilment or really get to know themselves in life, it is quite sad. Sometimes we have unrealistic expectations and aspirations - of ourselves, life, others etc; it can make it seem like there is a void of emptiness within us; something that could never be satisfied. Yet from nothingness something may always hope to be born.

Another good one Oliver :)

Sometimes everyone needs a good thrusting in to the light, if not the darkness takes over. I am looking at the dates the poem was written and the dates the comments were given (hey that rhymed) so do not know if you will read this but dare I say, sometimes, size does not matter. :D :D
