How soon they forget

Catch my reflection
Is that really me?
Years have gone by
So very quickly
Once I was handsome
Sexy and cool
A vision in Speedos
Those made the girls drool

Old fool

Put on my cap made out of tweed
Check my pants to see if I've weed
Last nights dinner lies on my shirt
Under my nails weeks worth of dirt
Where are my family
Where are my friends

Alone

Unanswered letters
Unreturned calls
Would I do that to you?
Would I balls.
Off to bed in my gloves
And my socks
Dreaming of mates I met on the docks

Goodnight

Great stuff David. Everybody has already said that it is sad and a little funny, so I won't repeat it. I will say KABLAMO!! sticks right to the heart.

As we grow older we remember the good old days and it is depessing. I would love to have my youth back and to experience everything for the first time again. "Old fool"
"Alone". I know the feeling of not wanting to talk to anyone. Not the door, not the phone, just want to be left alone. Yet we do these things to ourself and feel alone. Sometimes you just have to push yourself or else that potential friend will just give up.

Getting old. Youthful looks give way to old person habits. I know what you're talking about. It is both funny and sad. But it's better to laugh.
