The rain

The rain beats on the roof of the car and down the windshield. The wipers have trouble keeping up with splashing from oncoming cars. It is a very dark and eerie night. The rain makes it ever so difficult to see for even the best of drivers. As the journey to our destination continues our nerves become shot. For this type of ride will bring out the best and worst from all of us weery travelers. All it takes is one wrong move and it will be disaster. As the next car goes by a sigh of relief comes over us. A quick check into the mirror to see how close the other car behind you is and making sure that any special passengers are still safe. It feels like they are right on your bumper when you finally see your exit. While your car slows down to make your way a bunch of cars rush past. A huge weight is lifting off your shoulders. Suddenly you feel safer than you had since the journey began on this dark scary night. The thought of finnally being home soothes all worries away.

I like this little piece, it builds up the intense feeling that you get on such a journey, so there are a few spelling mistakes but this did not disturb the reading of the story.very well done.
