We always joke around and tease each other - it is true
But I can always tell that something is bothering you
You are keeping something bottled up inside your heart
I can see in your eyes that it is tearing you apart
You are pushing it aside telling everyone that it is alright
I have tried to get you to open up and talk to me about whats wrong
But you are keepng the same old song and dance going all along
So I am going to give up now - I don't have the strength to fight
Something different lies between our friendship now
I want to try and bridge this gap and trouble
But I dont know when, why or how
You keep yourself hidden in a dark lonely bubble
Once we used to be able to talk deep and were real
Now you do not let me know what you really feel
If you are in trouble and feel so alone inside
I want you to be able to lean on me to keep strong through this bumpy ride
What happened the trust that we once had?
Please do not think that this friendship is not just a fad
I am here for the long run and will ablways be your friend
Devoted to you till the bitter end!
You have shut me out of what's inside your heart
Trust that what you need to tell me
Will not be able to tear us apart!
Friendship is not just about the good times we shared together
It is being for each other through the pain and sorrow
It is being strong for each other and teaching to believe in a better tomorrow!
There is no storm,that we cannot weather
Please remember no matter what is wrong
I am always here to help and guide you to carry on
Feel free to rest your head on my shoulder
Can you imagine us like this twenty years older?
What a funny site we would be - a 40 year old you and me!
Reach for me when the road gets tough
Believe in yourself you have got the right stuff
You are a beautiful and wonderful person - a rare bread
A loyal and loving friend indeed!!
