True Poetic Licence

Vulnerability revealed
Achilles heels exposed
With selfless expression
Words weep
Onto sodden pages
Perpetual dreamers
In the face of adversity
Steady knocks from life
Form their pulse
Hearts exposed
And worn on sleeves
Soothing words
Comfort the wounded
As empathetic charlatans
Masquerading as poets
Pour shot-sized words
Down the throats of the gullible

TY all :) Sorry, I'm a bit late in replying. TachikoAiba - you don't have to know anything about poetry to like it! Just go with what appeals. Can't say I know much about it either, it's just something I've always done!

frumpalump - what a cool name lol :)

Anyway, TY again for all your comments, well chuffed you liked :)

I liked it, but not knowing anything about poetry, that's all I can say. ^.^ (Sorry.)

"Blue Water Baptism"

by Kimberley Linstruth-Beckom

"Blue Water Baptism" is my second collection of poems ranging in topic from views on death, God, friendships, and society. These poems were written in the course of ten years and show the "20-something" state of mind that transitions into a "30-something" mentality.
