Embezzled

swindled by your charm
a bandit in disguise

your silhouette
furtively lurks
in every corner

sneaking into cracks
waiting to pickpocket

you creep into the night
gently slip into my pocket

recklessly I wait
embezzled by you

Great poem. I dig the vernacular, I think there is a lot more to this poem than the words are allowing, perhaps expand on this piece.

Beautiful! just beautiful! Your words dance beautifully around a thief with and inviting smile and gentile hands.

I like this this poem although I would change or omit the section:

the cavity of warmth
creeps gently into
my abyss

I think the language sounds a little cliched. Don't take this the wrong way because I think it gets in the way of othersie consistent writing.
