Falling Star

I wish to become very small
No bigger than a speck of light
Such as the stars viewed at night
From this little planet we call Earth.

I wish my flesh
To eat away at itself until
Perhaps there’s nothing left.

I wish to shrink
Into a dream where
Nothing is reality.

I wish to vanish
Into the atmosphere
Like a falling star.
