Billet Doux

You once caught me gazing,
astounded by your glittering eyes.
But with just a glimpse of time,
my heart burst in vain.

My heart seems like a teeming river,
with infinite words to utter.
But how can I express how I feel,
if I tremble when I speak.

I linger in my occult place,
with pen and paper as my arms.
It seems like I'm a soldier of succumb,
defeated by despair--my greatest foe.

I've treated my weapons as my arms,
that will lead the way to your heart.
I may be suppressed by my stillness,
but within there's only you in the midst.

Oh midnight solitude, oh mournful lullaby,
a thousand sleepless nights it was.
With your silhouette that lingers in my mind,
arouses my desire to cure my desertion!
