Oh Africa

Mandela, mild and mannerly
Mbeki, a Boer in black skin
The real foe was always on the outside
As he Garbles, what Aids? What crime?

What Qualifications? Ah
Did he spend time in
The university of the government?
No not him
There, time served
Is in itself a degree
A situation wrought
By senseless fools

Dim-witted
They tethered the masses
Believing Armageddon
Was just a state of mind
Power handed to them by
More senseless fools
Having usurped the fools
Before them

And
So it continues until
The masses no longer exist
Then history will
Once again be rewritten

Why is it that we cannot be compassionate, when we dont understand. Why do we judge what we choose not to heal.
One day we will do or we will die in the process of self change.
are we willing to sacrifice control for the sake of passion.

Well written. Highlights the folly and frustration of history repeating itself.
