It hit me like the fist of an angry man

That I'd never be rid of the weeds.

I plucked 'em and sprayed 'em, cut 'em

And they stayed.

No sickening poison could cure them'¦

And they'd never die'¦

Just mill around my happy garden killing

The flowers that tried to grow

I tried reasoning with them to find the problem

But they wouldn't say'¦

Shrugged and laughed

Kept right on growing

Suffocating the daisies and

Annoying the hell out of me.
