missing for a lifetime

the comfort of a familiar suffocation
coughing you up in bite-sized chunks to make you happy
you are a lying disposable camera
i shall bury all your insight between quotation marks
and disregard the phrasebrook you bartered for souls with
who needs one more idiot faustus claiming nobility?
when the timeline jacknifes and the past confronts
the future in the present via the falsehood of meat
then we will see it's never been a one way street
there are pins and needles in my face
to map flaws and stitch up the scars with a line of drug
the mist i exude like camouflage is a daily fug
bury me in your scent and leave me for dead
they will never find my body there in your head

Hey Paul, very nice work. Very deep thoughts here.
"to map flaws and stitch up the scars with a line of drug" I love that line, it totally screams for attention. :)

I enjoyed this poem quite a bit. There were several fine lines, but the last two were great.
