A Mysterious Noise (2nd revision)

Remember those little springs

That are meant to stop the doors.

They make loud twangy sounds

After pushed down to the floor.

While sitting in my chair,

I was watching some TV,

When I heard the twangy noise

From somewhere way behind me.

I got up to investigate

And found the twanging's source,

Then in the kitchen, by the door,

I found my dog, of course.

I asked her what she was doing.

She gave me her blank stare.

Then she twanged the spring again,

As if I wasn't there.

A very sweet poem. The poem had a nice cadence to it, and the rhyme
scheme was mellow, and didn't sound forced at all. I really enjoyed
this a lot.

I love it. I could see my boxer, Lizzie doing that. She will pounce on a reflection of light like a cat pounces on a mouse.

this is a perfect little poem to insert in a children's book that is enjoyed by adults as well (Dr. Seuss style).
Very nice.
